DISABILITY AND THE MEDIA: PROMOTING AN IMAGE OF PERSONS WITH DISABILITIES BY THE MEDIA
ABSTRACT This article intends to provide tips and hints as well as insight to the media on how to promote positive, inclusive images of persons with disabilities and stimulate a climate of non-discrimination and equal opportunity in all aspects of society for persons with disabilities. It is intended for people working as editors, journalists, broadcasters, producers, programme makers and presenters.
