SDG 4 and PWDs: Ensuring Inclusive and Equitable Quality Education for all Persons with Disabilities

ABSTRACT The Sustainable Development Goals number 4 (SDG 4) aims to achieve  inclusive and equitable quality education for all. Therefore, this article focuses on  persons with  disabilities, by analysing the international normative frameworks on disability and education and addresses the challenges persons with disabilities face in accessing education on the basis of available evidence. It also analyzed the situation of persons with disabilities in education, and current practices in some countries regarding access to education for persons with disabilities. The article likewise concludes with suggestions on the way forward on how to ensure inclusive and equatable quality education for persons with disabilities.
